MLB strikeout props for Tue. 8/6: Fade Dodgers with Phils' Sanchez on hill

We went 0-3 in strikeout props on Monday to put an abrupt end to our 5-1 streak. Losing days happen, but all we can do is pick ourselves up with a winning day on Tuesday. Let's break down our three favorite strikeout props for the MLB slate.
We typically like fading Freeland due to his 19.1 percent whiff rate and 18.5 percent strikeout rate, but this is a solid matchup to target his over. The Colorado Rockies left-hander has a 28.6 percent K rate against current New York Mets hitters in his career. He's also gone over this line in five straight starts, racking up 32 strikeouts in that span.
Gray has been on fire of late with 26 strikeouts over his last three starts. The St. Louis Cardinals righty now ranks in the 92nd percentile in strikeout rate (30.8 percent) and the 74th percentile in whiff rate (28.4 percent), and he's staring down a great matchup on Tuesday night. The Tampa Bay Rays have the highest K rate against righties over the last week (34.6 percent).
This is a great matchup for Sanchez to rack up some Ks. For one, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the third-highest strikeout rate against lefties over the last two weeks (34.3 percent). Six batters in LA's projected starting lineup also have a whiff rate above 26 percent against changeups this season, which is great news for Sanchez. The left-hander throws his changeup 34 percent of the time and has a 37.8 percent whiff rate and a 23.5 percent putaway rate with that pitch.
