Saquon Barkley Explains Strange Interaction With Jalen Hurts That Is Going Viral

What do you do when Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley asks you an odd question out of nowhere? You answer, of course.

That's exactly what Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts did when he was suddenly asked by Barkley during their recent practice: "You think you're fearless?"

The moment was caught during a mic'd up interaction between the two Eagles studs. Hurts gave a perfect answer, touting his resolve during tough situations.

“Fearless? Yeah, absolutely," Hurts said in response. "You got some s*** you’re gonna worry about but you have to check yourself. You either gonna pray or you’re gonna worry. You can’t do both."

In a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia , Barkley revealed his intention behind why he asked his new teammate the peculiar question. Apparently, he was inspired by a book he read recently, entitled “Victory Favors the Fearless: How to Defeat the 7 Fears that Hold You Back.”

"Whatever happens, adapt and be ready for whatever," said the 27-year-old Barkley. "Trust in your faith. No need to have fear when you have faith. That’s kind of the message that I took from the book.”

When asked if he was fearless as well, he gave a more introspective response.

“I think within your highs and lows, you’re going to have those moments where you question yourself and you lose trust in your faith but you always gotta find a way to get back,” Barkley added.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Barkley signed a three-year deal with the Eagles last March. With the way he's connected with Hurts, also a two-time Pro Bowler, during training camp, it seems chemistry won't be a problem for them as they look to carry the Eagles.

Now that's something their opponents should fear.
