Jalen Hurts Sets Odd Training Camp Record Wednesday for Eagles

Training camp interceptions are never really a reflection of how a season is going to go for any quarterback, but taking care of the football is something ingrained in every signal-caller.

For the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts, that fact is something that has been taken to a whole other level this training camp.

As reported by Eliot Schorr-Parks of 94.1 WIP, Hurts has gone over 158 passes without throwing an interception while adding 17 touchdowns to 0 total turnovers.

The touchdown numbers are impressive through the first 10 practices, but the lack of interceptions is still something to cheer - regardless of how odd a record is for the training camp season.

Will fans remotely care about that mark when Hurts' throws his first interception of the 2024 season? Of course not. In fact, should the quarterback get picked off in Week 1, there will be a social media bonanza going back to this "record."

The real point of Hurts taking care of the ball, though, is a sign of true mastery of a new offense with Kellen Moore as the play-caller, and a focus on not turning the ball over in 2024 - a big problem for the 2023 group last season.

At the very least, a dubious record like this won't be something people talk about in a month.
