WVJC School of Nursing Launches New Online/Hybrid Practical Nursing Program
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - WVJC School of Nursing has launched a new online/hybrid practical nursing training program. The program is available to students who live within driving distance of the WVJC Bridgeport campus in Bridgeport, West Virginia, the WVJC Charleston campus in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, or James Rumsey Technical Institute in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
New ‘Flex’ Period Means Extra Attention for Bridgeport District Students
Students will have some extra time and attention as the 2024-2025 school year kicks off, when changes to the Bridgeport High School and Middle School schedules take effect. An additional 36-minute “flex” period has been created for each school day. Students will have access to intervention and more time to complete assignments.
Fairmont State University adopts guidelines for WV Campus Self-Defense Act
FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) - The Fairmont State University’s Board of Governors approved a policy regarding the West Virginia Campus Self-Defense Act. The policy touches on guidelines to implement the act, also known as the Campus Carry Bill, and will go into effect on July 1st. At that point, individuals with a current and valid concealed handgun license are allowed to carry their pistol or revolver on campus.
