Arts Festival Announces Awards for ‘Images 2024’ Fine Art Exhibition
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts announced $1,800 in awards for its annual juried exhibition of fine art, "Images 2024." Award recipients were selected by the show’s juror, Danny Volk, who also chose the 50 pieces in the exhibition from among the 313 submitted from across Pennsylvania. Nasir Young, of Willow Grove, was awarded Best in Show for his oil painting "Double Parked." The award was sponsored by the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County. STATE COLLEGE — Penn State Health won first place in the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts 2024 Banner Competition — Youth Division with its collaborative project “From Our Kids to Your Kids.” The winning banner was displayed over Allen Street throughout this year’s festival.
