Two teenagers are injured after an early morning shooting near Olney High School on Monday morning.

According to information from Philadelphia police, police believe two separate shooting incidents are connected.

The two teenagers aged 16 years old were shot at 2:32 a.m. on the 200 block of East Duncannon Street. One of the 16-year-old men suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the other suffered gunshot wounds to the ear and left shoulder. The men were being transported by a private vehicle and then flagged down officers for assistance. The men are now under the care of Temple University Hospital and St. Christophers Hospital for Children, respectively.

Police believe four offenders fled in an SUV. Although the weapon was not recovered, (5) 7.62 FCCs and (21) 9mm FCCs were found on the scene.

Philadelphia police also believe this double shooting is connected to the shooting of a 25-year-old man at 2:51 a.m. on Academy Road and Newberry Road.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the right leg during an attempted robbery. He was placed in stable condition.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie. No weapon was recovered.

If anyone has any information regarding either of these shootings, call the Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270.
