Car plunges into Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park

For the second time in less than two weeks, a car plunged into the Schuylkill River along Kelly Drive on Wednesday.

Two people were rescued from the vehicle and were not injured. Police say that the people rescued refused medical treatment.

Officials report the vehicle fell into the river from the parking lot of the Temple University Boathouse.

A marine unit arrived on the scene and the car is still in the river.

This is the second time in less than two weeks that a car fell into the Schuylkill River.
