Rally and March planned against proposed 76ers Arena in Chinatown

The Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance and Asian Americans United have planned a Rally and March on September 7 against the proposed 76ers Arena in Chinatown.

The rally and march will be held on September 7 at 1 p.m. and will begin at City Hall.

In an announcement on Instagram, Asian Americans United said , “We’ll rally with voices from diverse Philly neighborhoods then march into Chinatown with the power of the people”

Throughout the past year, the proposed arena has become a very controversial topic with many opposing it.

Most recently, The City of Philadelphia release four separate reports analyzing the proposal for a new Sixers arena in Center City. The four reports include a community impact assessment, an economic impact analysis, design consulting, and a traffic, transportation, and parking analysis.
