The Maggiore Group Seeking New Site for Next Concept

The Maggiore Group is preparing to open several concepts this year but has decided to make some changes to a previously announced restaurant.

Previously, What Now Phoenix reported on the group opening a new concept called Il Massetos at 3178 E Camelback Rd, on the corner of Camelback Road and 32nd Street. The Maggiore Group has reportedly decided to look for a new location for the restaurant, claiming the former home of Bank of America isn’t large enough for the development. They are hoping to find something with more parking options. The exact timeline for the opening is unknown.

While this is a step back for The Maggiore Group, they have plenty of other projects they are working on. While the group is searching for a new location for its newest concept, it is actively working on two other previously announced concepts. Maggiore is building his most expensive restaurant to date, The Italiano , which is expected to open in Scottsdale this summer. Around the same time, the group is also working on a second location of The Mexicano in Chandler.

“This is going to be our best concept yet! We’re drawing inspiration from every corner of Italy to blend age-old traditions with innovative approaches,” Joey Maggiore , the chef and co-founder of the Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts, said in a joint statement. “We can’t wait for you to experience our family’s heritage in a new and familiar way.”
