Brittney Griner Fires Unfiltered Message To Doubters Amid Big WNBA Season

While Brittney Griner has been a magnet of criticism and controversy over the last couple of years, it hasn't stopped her from dominating the WNBA. This 2024 season, she's been having a phenomenal year with the Phoenix Mercury ever since making her injury return.

As Griner continues to show that she's a game-changing player, she recently took to Instagram to send a rather stern message to her doubters. While sharing some photos from her week so far, she also included some images featuring some texts highlighting her current feelings towards her critics.

"Never bet against someone who has been through a lot but refuses to let it turn them cold," reads one of the photos that Griner shared.

In another image, which Griner also shared on her Instagram Stories, the Mercury star noted: "At this point in my life, I'm completely unbothered by anyone who judges without really knowing me."

Brittney Griner has been constantly criticized for her previous refusal to stand up for the national anthem. While her stance has since changed, many still mention it in conversations about her.

Aside from that, critics often try to discredit her, including when she was recently added to the Team USA roster for the 2024 Olympics. There was even a fake rumor that claimed she was removed from the squad for misconduct.

Despite the non-stop issues, Griner tries to shut out the noise. Sure enough, it's working for her, as she's currently averaging 21.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the rising Mercury team.
