Tom Kelly: 'I hate Arizona Diamondbacks as much as '02 Bucs'

Tom Kelly said the 2023-2024 Arizona Diamondbacks are in the same category as the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as his most hated teams of his lifetime.

"I hate the Arizona Diamondbacks, just bringing back bad memories," Kelly said on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show filling in for Joe Giglio. "You see the names...Ugh, my God! I think that team kind of gets filed in the same category as the '02 Buccaneers because you're going to despise those players on those teams forever. Next to '02, Hugh, that was probably the worst Philadelphia sports loss of my life."

"The guy I can't stand the most, this Toure Louvulle."

The Phillies took two of three from the D-backs over the weekend and Louvulle argued with the umpire in a t-shirt.

The Bucs, of course, shocked the Eagles in the 2002 NFC Championship Game beating Philadelphia 27-10. 94WIP Midday Show co-host Hugh Douglas was on the Eagles.

"Why you bring up '02? Why you do that?" Douglas asked, laughing. "That game right there, man...Yeah, that one hurt."
