The 2024 WNBA All-Star game may have been one of the most memorable WNBA games in recent history. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese teamed up for the first time on Team WNBA to upset Team USA by a final score of 117-109.

Both rookies also had record-breaking games. Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record ten assists in the All-Star game. Reese became the only rookie to ever record a double-double in the same game.

But thanks to these two stars, another record was not only broken but shattered.

According to The Athletic's Richard Deitsch, the 2024 WNBA All-Star game drew in 3.44 million viewers.

The previous record for most All-Star viewers was 1.4 million, set back in 2003. The 2024 All-Star game did over double those numbers.

Not only that, but this game also marked the highest-viewed WNBA game ever on any ESPN platform (ABC).

Clark, Reese, and the rest of the WNBA have started a month-long hiatus for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Play will restart on August 15.
