The Pairing Room restaurant, at 200 W. Portland St. in downtown Phoenix, has closed after three months.

The restaurant replaced The Larder + The Delta in April.

Husband-and-wife owners Doajo and Roxanne Hicks opened The Pairing Room with the goal of offering food paired with wine from their Coronado Vineyards in Willcox and beer from their brewery, Throne Brewing Company . Chef Dezmond Gutierrez designed the menu with dishes like crispy chicken coconut curry with rice cooked in Coronado Vineyards wine.

An Instagram post dated July 25 on the restaurant's account announced the closure with no explanation: "Thank you to everyone for your support but for now The Pairing Room will remain permanently closed."

According to a Notice of Lockout taped on the restaurant's door and dated July 16, the landlord terminated the lease and locked out DH Enterprises Restaurants LLC.

We've reached out to the Hickses and the landlord for more information.
