Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is no stranger to the occasional social media beef. This time around, the former NBA MVP has set his sights on three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

The feud between these two elite athletes started when Durant decided to respond to Johnson, who is currently one of the hosts on Fox Sports' Undisputed program with Skip Bayless and Paul Pierce, after the one-time Super Bowl champ appeared to play down KD's two championships with the Golden State Warriors.

According to Johnson, Pierce would have achieved the exact same thing Durant did if the Boston Celtics legend were in KD's shoes when the latter joined the Warriors back in 2016.

Durant, who is currently part of the Team USA contingent competing in the Paris Olympics, did not appreciate the dig from Johnson.

"If the jets would’ve took Jonathan Ogden, Marvin Harrison, ray lewis or Eddie George number 1 they would’ve been better off……I hate hypotheticals," Durant wrote on X, formerly Twitter in reference to the New York Jets selecting Johnson as the first overall pick in the 1996 NFL draft.

Johnson clapped back by saying in a succeeding episode of his show that while he respects Durant, "what he not gonna do is talk s--- to me."

In that same episode, Johnson also stated that despite their ongoing misunderstanding, he would still call Durant "homie" if he bumped into him in the street -- a notion that the Suns star does not seem to agree with.

"😂😂😂😂😂 Old head funny..I walk right by guys like this and put my AirPods in, I don’t know dog, what makes him think we gon embrace if I ever see him?" KD tweeted.

Johnson would not stay silent after taking that jab, even though he has repeatedly stated that he's not the type that engages in these types of back-and-forth battles on social media.

In a recent episode of his podcast, All Facts No Brakes , Johnson once again fired a shot at Durant by saying, “Guys are sensitive, they get their feelings hurt sometimes because they don’t get the full context of a conversation.”

To be fair, Johnson did imply that he's ready to put this whole beef to rest and it appears that he holds no ill will against Durant. I'm just not entirely sure if KD feels the same way at this point in time.
