Troy, Piqua get scrimmage season started
TROY — The Troy football team under coach Troy Everhart opened the scrimmage season Saturday, hosting Cincinnati Princeton at Troy Memorial Stadium/Premier Health Field. The Trojans are coming off an 11-2 season and a share of the MVL title and have a new playing surface this year, with aa turf field being installed this summer by the Motz Group.

Alex Darner had to make a tough decision between two sports he truly enjoyed. The longtime soccer player started to move to the tennis court, and his move has paid off. The Tipp junior had a very productive year at third-singles last season and looks forward to a bigger year this coming spring.

Green Wave boys place 9th at Echo Hills
PIQUA – The Greenville Green Wave boys finished ninth out of 18 teams playing in the 2024 Kendig Memorial Tournament played at Piqua’s Echo Hills Golf Course. Cole Oswalt paced Greenville with a 79, Drew Beisner an 86, Josh Baker carded an 89, Hayden Null with a 94, Carson Good shot a 99, and Kaiden Hickey finished with a 104.

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF) - Fall camp is underway for University of Dayton football, but the Flyers were able to relax and enjoy baseball Thursday night at Day Air Ballpark. Head coach Trevor Andrews says the trip to Thursday's game was planned as a surprise treat for the team, as a chance to get away from the monotony and grind of preseason activities.
