Outlaws sweep Texarkana in a doubleheader
JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Outlaws wrap up a 7-game series against the Texarkana Rhinos. The series opener and finale included doubleheaders for the longest home stand of the season. Joplin wins game in a 6-0 shutout. The Outlaws come back in Game 2 to defeat Texarkana 4-3 on a walk-off bases loaded walk by Kahle Good. Joplin earns a day off of rest. Shooting Incident at Econo Lodge Motel in Pryor Ends in Tragedy
PRYOR, Oklahoma ~ Last night, at approximately 9:39 PM, Pryor Creek Police Officers were dispatched to the Econo Lodge Motel on the south side of Pryor Creek in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim outside a motel room with two gunshot wounds to his upper body. The suspect had fled the scene before the officers arrived, but eyewitnesses provided a description of the suspect's vehicle.

Warrant issued for woman accused of exploiting elderly woman out of nearly $52,000
NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Tammy Dene Jones, 51, Enid, by the Kay County District Court. Jones is facing felony counts of exploitation of elderly and or disabled adult by deception and intimidation and computer fraud and or unlawful use of a computer system. Ponca City police report that Jones is accused of fraudulently obtaining $51,877.94 from a senior citizen.
