Townball Tour in Pierz coming up on June 19

Fox 9’s Townball Tour is coming to Legion Field in Pierz Wednesday, June 19. All baseball games involved are free to the public.

The event will start with a VFW doubleheader between Pierz and Princeton at 11 a.m. The Pierz Bulldogs will take on the Pierz Lakers at 5 p.m., followed by the Pierz Brewers and the Buckman Billygoats at 7:30 p.m. Youth teams will play at other fields in the area, early in the afternoon.

An honorary first pitch will be held before the Bulldogs and Lakers game at 4:45. Four of the Fox 9 talents will throw to the Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Hall of Famers of Pierz.

Fox 9’s ice cream truck will offer free ice to the first 300 customers. Lawn games will also be set up behind the grandstand.
