A Southern Minnesota Police Department has issued a warning to area youth, to abide by the city-enforced curfew or face citations. The Kenyon Police Department, located in Southern Minnesota, near Faribault, took to social media, to warn area parents and youth that breaking curfew could result in citations being issued to either the minor or the parent of a minor.
Pine Island Standoff Molitor Sentenced
A Pine Island man who was involved in a hours long standoff with multiple law enforcement agencies in June of 2022 has been sentenced in Olmsted County Court. 37-year old Michael Molitor was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to spend five years on probation following his release by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Another No-Show For Sentencing Results in Arrest Warrant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant was issued today for a man who failed to show up in Olmsted County Court for his sentencing hearing. Court records show 42-year-old Jesus Rodriguez was scheduled for sentencing on Monday in the case where he was accused of pointing a gun at another man and threatening to kill him at a local convenience store last summer. He was arrested last July after a man told Rochester police that he was refueling his vehicle when he was approached by a man he did not know who was yelling in both Spanish and English before the man went back to his vehicle and returned with a handgun.
Rochester Police Seek Assistance in Locating Predatory Offender
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a predatory offender. An alert issued by the Police Department Tuesday afternoon indicates a state agent contacted local authorities and informed them that 41-year-old Carvell Williams had tampered with his electronic monitoring device on Sunday. He has since failed to return to his placement location.
Kenyon Police Department enforcing curfew for kids
KENYON, Minn.-After kids in Kenyon have been caught getting into mischief after curfew. Kenyon Police Chief Jeffrey Sjoblom says, "Recently we've had some more frequent calls with dealing with juveniles late at night. We had some vandalism recently and we were able to identify the suspects and found out to be ages were 13 and 14."

Motorcycle Crash Shutdown Highway 63 North of Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A section of Highway 63 north of Rochester was closed to traffic Saturday evening while emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle crash. Preliminary reports indicate the highway was shut down around 6:30 PM to allow the Mayo One helicopter to land and transport the crash victim to the hospital. The reports indicated the area affected was between the roundabout at 75th Street Northeast and Highway 247.
Rochester neighborhoods asked to register their 'Night to Unite' celebrations
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Night to Unite, also known as National Night Out, will be August 6. The Rochester Police Department and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office are encouraging neighborhood gatherings and ask they be registered at RochOlmstedUnite.com by July 31. Law enforcement officers and other first responders plan on visiting those neighborhood celebrations.

>BCA Investigating Use-Of-Force Incident In Crookston. (Crookston, MN) — An investigation into a use-of-force incident involving law enforcement in Crookston is underway. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension did not name the agency involved, nor did it release information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The BCA says it will release more details once a preliminary investigation is complete. This is the second shooting involving an officer in Polk County in recent months.
