Man shot in the abdomen in St. Paul, police investigating
ST. PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday evening. The shooting happened near the 800 block of Rice Street around 5:45 p.m.When police arrived on the scene they found a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was conscious at the time. First responders transported the man to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.
St. Paul police seek info in fatal hit-and-run near Lake Phalen
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Police in St. Paul are searching for a driver who they say hit and killed an 83-year-old man earlier this month.Another driver found John Bidon lying in the intersection of Arlington Avenue and McAfee Street around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, the St. Paul Police Department said.Officers responded, and Bidon was taken to Regions Hospital, where he later died. The Ramsey County medical examiner determined he died after being hit by a vehicle.Police did not provide any information about the suspect vehicle or driver, but are asking the public for help. Anyone with information is asked to call 651-266-5722."Saint Paul, we need your help bringing justice to this case for John's family," police said.

MENOMONIE, Wis. — The man accused of helping his son hide the bodies of four people in a western Wisconsin cornfield has been found guilty Wednesday by a jury. Darren L. Osborne was charged with four counts of hiding a corpse - party to a crime. His son, Antoine Suggs, was convicted of fatally shooting a group of friends in St. Paul.
Alleged Minnesota gang members charged with string of killings in federal crackdown
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A federal grand jury indicted 11 alleged members of a Minneapolis street gang on charges that include murder, conspiracy and drug trafficking, prosecutors announced Wednesday. Some of the alleged gang members have been charged for their role in seven shootings that killed five people, unsealed court records show. Five people have been charged with firearm murder, while all 11 defendants were charged with conspiracy. The charges are part of a federal gang crackdown authorities announced in 2023 that has ensnared dozens of members or associates of several Minneapolis gangs. With Wednesday’s announcement, over 90 people have been charged with gang-related offenses since the operation started, prosecutors said. The alleged members of the Lows gang also stand accused of trafficking fentanyl and possessing illegal guns.

AFTON, Minn. — An off-duty deputy with the Washington County Sheriff's Office caused a crash where alcohol was involved, according to authorities.The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash occurred Sunday at around 10:39 a.m. in Afton on Highway 95 at Scenic Lane. There, a 58-year-old Hastings man driving a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling northbound on the highway when he crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a 2022 Ford Expedition, the patrol said.
