Escondido Passes New Public Camping Ban Ahead of U.S. Supreme Court Decision
Escondido leaders approved a homeless camping ban Wednesday, becoming the latest San Diego County city to crack down on encampments. The new ordinance makes it illegal to camp on public property when shelter is available. This includes camping in streets, sidewalks, parks, open spaces and waterways. Public camping is also illegal if it poses a threat to any person, public safety or to vital government services.
2 SuperLotto Plus Tickets Sold in San Diego County Worth Almost $14,000 Each
There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the latest SuperLotto Plus drawing, pushing the estimated jackpot for Saturday to $48 million. There were three tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Mega number on Wednesday – one each at an Arco AM/PM convenience store near Carmel Valley, a Chevron station in Lemon Grove and a liquor store in Fortuna in Humboldt County.

The California Legislature approved bills Thursday that would amend a 20-year-old law allowing workers to sue their bosses over labor violations and require employers found liable to pay a fine to the state.The legislation would reform the Private Attorneys General Act, which took effect in 2004.
