“Appetite 4 Destruction” plays GnR hits in Yucca Valley tonight
Come on down to Paradise City, or in this instance, the Town of Yucca Valley, to hear hits from Guns ‘N Roses at a free concert tonight. It’s July, but you can come out for some November Rain tonight at the Yucca Valley Community Center, where the town continues their Summer Music Festival concert series. Tonight, they’ll be featuring Appetite 4 Destruction, a tribute to Guns N’ Roses. They’ll be playing a free show tonight, and feel free to bring those sweet children of yours. This is a family friendly show.
August closure dates for Johnson Valley Shared Use Area
If the heat has you itching to tear it up on 2 or 4 wheels on the Johnson Valley dry lake areas next month, there is an upcoming closure to the shared-use area from August 15th to August 26th. The scheduled 11-day closure is so the neighboring Marine Corps can conduct critical military training in the area.

Get rid of non-compete clause in proposed lease agreement between Tenet, health care district
Over 75 years ago, the residents of our valley formed the Desert Health Care District to bring better health care to our area. It is funded with a portion of our property tax dollars, and it owns Desert Regional Medical Center. Currently the district is in negotiations with Tenet Health Care, who leases and operates Desert Regional Medical Center for the district, as to whether to sell the hospital to Tenet at the end of the next lease.
