Since the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired reliever Michael Kopech, he’s looked like a different pitcher. The 28-year-old is thriving in his new environment. Through his first eight appearances and 27 batters faced with the Dodgers, he recorded 8 1/3 scoreless innings, a save, a walk, and 13 strikeouts. He’s pitched well enough to earn the closer role. His transformation from struggling pitcher to probable closer has been exciting to watch. With his triple-digit fastball, the case is already being made for him to close games.

We are now over a month past the completion of the MLB Draft. 2024 draftees are beginning to make a name for themselves in the prospect rankings world as they are assigned to MiLB teams.
