Prince’s Former Business Advisors Win Key Ruling in Ongoing Estate Lawsuit
Prince’s former business advisors L. Londell McMillan and Charles Spicer Jr. have won a key ruling in their ongoing estate lawsuit against several of the late artist’s heirs, reports Billboard. McMillan and Spicer are currently managers of Prince Legacy LLC, the estate management holding company they co-created with several of Prince’s legal heirs, but several of those family members—Prince’s half-sisters Sharon and Norrine Nelson, plus his niece and nephew Breanna and Allen Nelson—allegedly attempted to oust them from the company. On July 5, a Delaware judge ruled that those four family members could not amend the LLC agreement to remove McMillan and Spicer because it breaks the terms of the agreement.

Oxbow Founder Eugene Robinson Leaves Band After 35 Years
Eugene Robinson, the lead singer of San Francisco noise-rock experimentalists Oxbow, is leaving the band. Robinson, who co-founded and has been with the band for over 35 years, announced his departure on Substack, explaining that the exit is due to “irreconcilable differences, none of them aesthetic or musical.” Oxbow have not yet released an official statement. Sault, the elusive UK collective, have released a new surprise album. Titled Acts of Faith, their 11th LP is out now, via Forever Living Originals, and is available to download for free as a .WAV file through a WeTransfer link that the group shared online. Blur’s Dave Rowntree Loses Bid to Become UK Member of Parliament
Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has failed in his bid to become a member of the UK parliament. Rowntree stood for the centrist Labour Party in the Mid Sussex district, a long-standing stronghold for the embattled Conservative Party. The seat went to the Liberal Democrats, another centrist party, unseating the Tories for the first time since the constituency was established in 1974. Rowntree won roughly 17 percent of the vote compared to first place Alison Elizabeth Bennett’s 39 percent. In the UK at large, Labour swept to victory, taking power for the first time since 2010.

Sean “Diddy” Combs Sued for Alleged Sex Trafficking at Parties
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sued again, this time for alleged sex trafficking, sexual assault, and other allegations, TMZ and L.A. Times report. Adria English, a former adult-film star, says Diddy hired her to work as a “go-go dancer” at a party in 2004, before rehiring her for parties where she alleges her drinks were laced with narcotics and she was eventually coerced into having sex with guests. One such guest, she claims, was celebrity jeweler Jacob “the Jeweler” Arabo, who is named in the lawsuit, along with several of Diddy’s enterprises, two media companies, a woman who allegedly facilitated the sex trafficking, and two people who are not named. Diddy has denied the claims.

Young Thug Trial Paused Indefinitely Due to Alleged Misconduct by Judge
The racketeering and gang conspiracy trial against Young Thug and five associates in Atlanta, Georgia—already the longest criminal trial in Georgia history at 18 months, with more days to follow—has been paused indefinitely due to alleged misconduct by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville, reports The Washington Post. Earlier today, Judge Glanville announced that the case would not proceed until another judge decides whether he should recuse himself from overseeing the trial. This follows accusations from defense attorneys claiming that Judge Glanville held a secret meeting with prosecutors and key witness Kenneth Copeland to pressure him to testify, which the attorneys argue was improper and unconstitutional.
