Woman Charged in Fatal Overdose
The Daily Item reports a Schuylkill County woman will go to trial for allegedly providing drugs that claimed the life of a 15-year-old Mount Carmel resident. Victoria Mowry of Ashland has a trial set for October, charged with felony counts of drug delivery. Mount Carmel police say Mowry is responsible for fentanyl that was used in the overdose death of Ricky Payne. Christopher Payne was also charged for Ricky Payne’s death. The Daily Item reports Christopher Payne testified in court that he purchased drugs from Mowry and that his brother Ricky used them the night he overdosed and died.
