Pirates enter into uniform patch partnership with Sheetz

The Pirates have entered into a partnership with Altoona-based convenient stores.

All Pirates uniforms will now feature a “Sheetz” patch on the left side of the sleeve.

Starting pitcher Mitch Keller and closer David Bednar were featured in a video, along with the Pirate Parrot to announce the partnership.

The patch will be seen for the first time, on-field, when the Pirates host the Tampa Bay Rays at PNC Park Friday night.

Fans can also now purchase a Pirates jersey with a Sheetz patch on it. All Nike Elite jerseys will feature the patch and those that buy a Nike Limited jersey, blank or customized and add the Sheetz patch for $10.

To celebrate the partnership, the Pirates and Sheetz hosted a youth baseball team from Moon Little League at a Sheetz location for a “Sheetz Run” experience with players Colin Holderman and Oneil Cruz as well as Pirates mascots.

The kids got to select their favorite Sheetz food and asked the Pirates players questions.
