Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a legend.  Under his 17-year leadership, the Steelers have never finished below .500 in the regular season. That unbelievable record would crown him as the best current AFC North head coach by some, but not everyone.

A CBS NFL analyst recently ranked the 32 head coaches and Tomlin finished 6th overall with Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh coming in at 4th.

The knock on Tomlin is that the Steelers have not won a playoff game in eight years.  It has not helped that the Steelers cannot find a suitable quarterback to follow future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger who retired in 2022. Until Tomlin wins playoff games, he will not be considered a Top 5 NFL coach or the best in his division.
