Ex-Steelers OT thinks star WR may want to play for Pittsburgh

It’s no secret the Pittsburgh Steelers can use some serious help at the wide receiver position, but it seems the San Francisco 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk is not the only option in play.

Las Vegas Raiders star wideout Davante Adams is a name to watch in the trade market, especially after his numerous disgruntled remarks on the Netflix hit "Receiver."

Behind rising star George Pickens, the Steelers lack any established talent in their wideout room. Former Steelers offensive lineman Ryan Harris is the latest to push this agenda, discussing the appeal of Adams playing in Pittsburgh.

“The Pittsburgh Steelers could use Davante Adams, and players love playing for Mike Tomlin, as I did when I was a Steeler. Sometimes, that comes into play in these decisions as well,” Harris said on CBS Sports .

Most expect Adams to reunite with his friend and ex-quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the New York Jets if a change of scenery occurs. However, with Rodgers' time in the league ticking down, it’s possible Adams goes the safer route.

The Jets and Steelers have two of the strongest defensive units in the league, but it’s hard to find a coach more reliable than Tomlin. He’s never had a losing season in his 17 years in Pittsburgh.

While the Steelers’ quarterbacks room of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields leaves much to be desired, it’s not impossible for their front office to select a QB in next year’s draft.
