There's nothing that signals football being back quite like daily videos of fights breaking out at NFL training camp practices.

On Wednesday morning, we got arguably the biggest one of the year coming from Pittsburgh Steelers training camp, where a late and borderline dirty hit on quarterback Justin Fields sparked some tempers.

It all started when Steelers linebacker Elandon Roberts hit Fields a bit late on a read option play. Offensive lineman Mason McCormick didn't like it and shoved Roberts from behind, which led to more tempers flaring.

From there, both sides of the ball had to be separated after dozens of players clashed and some punches were thrown.

Take a look at the fight, and the play that started it all:

The players ended up being separated after quite a while, and practice continued.

Ultimately, this isn't uncommon in the NFL, and tempers flare in the preseason when players finally get back into pads and into the competitive spirit. The fact that many players on the roster are fighting for job security also leads to elevated testosterone and chippiness.

Pushing and shoving is generally okay, but when it comes at the expense of your quarterback being put in danger, that's where a line is drawn.

Fortunately, it seems that Fields was okay in the play, and it's also good to see that his offensive line had his back during the entire situation.
