The Pittsburgh Steelers get one step closer to officially kicking off their 2024 campaign on Friday, August 9, as they welcome the Houston Texans into Pittsburgh for Week 1 of the preseason.

There's a lot going on in Pittsburgh right now between trade rumors and QB battles , but the team will use Friday night as their first measuring point for their regular season readiness.

The toughest part about the preseason, for fans, is keeping up with all the action. This especially applies to out-of-market fans. Fortunately, along with 506sports.com , there are ways to watch/stream the game and not miss a beat.

    Where to watch Steelers-Texans

Luckily for fans of both squads, the game will be broadcast nationally on NFL Network starting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. But if you are in the greater Houston or Pittsburgh areas, 506Sports.com has a list of channels on which you can watch locally:

    What to Look for

Both the Steelers and Texans are slated to play a bevy of starters on Friday Night. Steelers HC Mike Tomin is going to play it safe with a few of his stars, but there will still be plenty of big names and fan favorites that put on the black and gold come gametime.

For the Texans, HC DeMeco Ryans stated that QB C.J. Stroud would be participating in the game, setting up a contest of former Ohio State Buckeyes at the signal caller position.

So while the exposure is likely to be limited to a few drives, it's NFL football and more specifically Steelers football nonetheless, giving fans a much-anticipated appetizer.
