    Long Island teen accused of threatening victim with imitation pistol: police

    HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Long Island teen was arrested on Tuesday morning for allegedly using an imitation pistol to menace another teen, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

    Police officers from the Second Squad responded to a 911 call at around 12:50 a.m. A 17-year-old female victim told officers she was approached by another teen who pulled what appeared to be a firearm and threatened the victim, police said.

    The suspect fled the scene and was taken into police custody a short time late, authorities said. Officers also recovered an imitation pistol-BB gun, believed to have been used during the crime.

    The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing in the second degree. Police say he will be arraigned in your court later today.
