Ice skating tickets for Rockefeller Center now open for holiday season

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Though there are still a few weeks of summer left, tickets for the world-famous Rockefeller Center ice staking rink have been made available.

“The holiday season is a magical time at Rockefeller Center , and beginning in September, holiday ticket packages will be available for purchase, in addition to ice skating packages,” said a spokesperson for The Rink at Rockefeller.

Holiday ticket options will include:

• Photos in front of the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
• Reservations for Rock Center’s cozy Après Skate holiday chalets, which features food, beverages
• A meeting and photos with Santa Claus,
• A  VIP Rock Pass: Holiday Edition with a guided campus tour, express access to Top of the Rock, and The Beam

Tickets start at $21 per person, and the price does not include skate rentals. More information and tickets can be found here .

Initially designed in 1936 as a temporary attraction to draw visitors to Rockefeller Center’s outdoor plaza, The Rink became a permanent fixture in 1939. The rink officially opens in October, but over a quarter of a million people skate across it yearly, so you’ll want to plan ahead this holiday season.
