    Man hospitalized after being thrown from scooter in Plainfield

    PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was taken to the hospital after being thrown from his scooter Sunday morning in Plainfield.

    The Plainfield Police Department said around 5:18 a.m., a 32-year-old man was traveling North on Norwich Rd. on his 2006 Geely Scooter.

    Serious injuries reported after scooter and bicycle collide in Bridgeport

    The investigation determined he went off the roadway and hit a curb before going “airborne” and landing on the side of the road.

    The man was taken to William W. Backus Hospital for suspected serious injuries.

    Plainfield police continue to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 860-564-0804.
