A Kansas City author wants people to learn from her mistakes as her mother's caretaker
It wasn't in Dean Mitchell's nature to forget her daughter's birthday. "She was always working to make others happy," remembered her daughter, Sonya Jury. Then you take a bite, and your vision suddenly shrinks to a pinhead—and you’re doing a little dance. The pinhead is just wide enough to check with your tablemate before closing your eyes. “Are you tasting this?”
