Three-time Super Bowl champion Andy Reid was a unanimous choice by The Associated Press for No. 1 coach in the NFL in a preseason survey. A panel of eight AP Pro Football Writers ranked the top five coaches, basing selections on current status entering the 2024 season. Reid has led the Kansas City Chiefs to consecutive Super Bowl victories and three titles in five seasons. John Harbaugh, Sean McVay, Mike Tomlin and Kyle Shanahan each received two second-place votes. Doug Pederson, Dan Campbell, Matt LaFleur, Sean McDermott and DeMeco Ryans also received votes.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod football team was tabbed ninth in both the MIAA Coaches and MIAA Preseason Media polls that were released today by the conference office at the 2024 MIAA Football Media Day at the Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City. Washburn will open the 2024 slate at Emporia State on Aug. 29 in Emporia before facing the Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 14 in Yager Stadium. Hornet Football in KC for Media Day
The Emporia State football team was in Kansas City on Tuesday for the 2024 MIAA Football Media Day. The Hornets were picked fourth in the preseason coaches poll and sixth in the preseason media poll. Central Missouri was the preseason pick by both the coaches and the media to win the league in 2024. The Mules received eight of 10 first place votes in the coaches poll and 20 of 26 votes in the media poll. Pittsburg State was picked second in both polls and received the rest of the first place votes while Northwest Missouri was picked third.
