Gladstone safety complaints lead to action, get attention of police chief
GLADSTONE, Mo. (KCTV) - Concerns about traffic speeding through one area of the city grabbed the attention of the Gladstone Police Department. Police Chief Fred Farris said the department increased enforcement along NE 76th Street. The department also plans to put a speed trailer in the area in hopes of gathering additional information about the traffic in the area.
IPD Announces New Assistant Chief
The Independence Police Department announces the appointment of the new assistant police chief. New Assistant Police Chief Derek Bryant started with IPD as an auxiliary police officer in October 1993, and then as a full-time officer in May 1994. Bryant was promoted and served as a lieutenant from 1998 to 2009. He transferred to the detective’s division in 2009 and is currently the lead detective.
