Nevada softball ace Tyra Clary transferring to Louisiana Lafayette for final college year
Tyra Clary, who led the Mountain West in ERA each of the last two seasons, is transferring from Nevada to Louisiana Lafayette for her final year of college eligibility. A Spanish Springs High alum, Clary entered the transfer portal earlier this month. She walked on at Nevada in 2022 before becoming a top-flight pitcher in the MW in 2023 and 2024. After going 6-10 with a 8.25 ERA in her debut season in silver and blue, she went 16-11 with a 2.17 ERA and six saves over the last two years while leading the MW in ERA in 2023 (1.81) and 2024 (2.45).
