Major Closure of Road Could Snarl Traffic in Windsor for Weeks
If you live or work in Windsor, Colorado, chances are you may be affected by an upcoming road construction project. Thousands of vehicles pass through the intersection every day in this Northern Colorado town and I am one of those people who use this intersection on a daily basis. Windsor is a rapidly growing town in Colorado and with the growth comes the growing pains of updating the town's roadways to accommodate the traffic.
New, 75-unit apartment complex in Longmont will feature childhood center
Workers are expected to start building the 75-unit Ascent at Hover Crossing at 1764/1780 Hover St. in August – a new rental project for low- and moderate-income families. The project is expected to include an early childhood education center, which will be built, in part, with a $2 million grant from the Colorado Health Foundation.

Longmont officials plan to spray for mosquitoes on Thursday in certain areas of the city, after monitors found West Nile virus in mosquitos in Weld County. Repairs To Address Lead Levels In Drinking Water In Thompson SD
The Thompson School District is undertaking a series of repairs to address lead levels in water across 24 of its facilities to bring the district into alignment with new state guidelines for schools, which call for action when testing results show levels of lead at or above 5 parts per billion (ppb). Officials say the district will either install filtration systems in the troublesome fixtures or replace them entirely. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports the district hopes to have all of the work completed by the beginning of the school year. Plumbers have been contracted, but some of the new fixtures have not yet arrived.
