A locally-driven scholarship may be of interest to local seniors starting September. The Michael E. McGoldrick Scholarship launches this fall, granting $100,000 to three students across Colorado and Washington state in four years at college. As visitors walk into the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum, they’re struck by the fancy, bright blue car front and center of the main museum building. “Having the car there shows another piece of Berthoud history that will draw people in to check out the rest of the museum,” said Andrew Wayland, museums manager for the Berthoud Historical Society, which operates the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer and McCarty-Fickel Home museums. “People really like seeing old cars and being able to see something different than what would be in your typical small-town museum.”
Windsor Police to Host Annual Bike Night July 19
The Town of Windsor Police Department is hosting its annual Bike Night on July 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held at Eastman Park and is free to attend. Bike Night is an annual event teaching children about bicycle safety.
