Hitdawgs earn win over MacStrength

The Plymouth Hitdawgs saw a three-game week turn into one last week due to weather, but they did pick up a big win amid the scheduling issues.

The Hitdawgs began last week with a 3-2 win over the MacStrength Grizzlies June 19, a welcome victory after a game was postponed due to weather the day prior. Jack Zupfer was key on the hill for Plymouth, pitching eight innings and collecting 11 kills against MacStrength. Both Cole Shirley and Jordan Amundson went 2-4, with the prior batting one RBI. Daniel Marxen went 1-3 and scored one a key run on a low-scoring day.

The Hitdawgs were set to four games the following week, hosting the North Stars June 24, traveling to the Dundas Dukes June 26 and then hosting the Orioles and Shoreview June 27 and 29 respectively.
