Last foam parties of the summer in GR and RS this week
The final foam parties of the summer are set to take place in Green River and Rock Springs this week. In Rock Springs, the White Mountain Library, 2935 Sweetwater Drive, will host its foam party on Thursday, July 25, at 1:30 p.m. The Green River party, hosted by the Sweetwater County Library, will be held on Friday, July 26, at 9 p.m. at Centennial Park, 160 E. Flaming Gorge Way.

Family Planning Receives Grant for New Equipment
ROCK SPRINGS – Western Wyoming Family Planning is the recipient of a grant that will help it purchase new equipment. The United Way of Southwest Wyoming recently awarded the organization a $7,275 grant to purchase a new exam bed, exam light, a colposcope, and an Autoclave. Alex Roberson, the director of Western Wyoming Family Planning, said the new equipment not only upgrades what they already have but also helps improve the services they offer. The light in particular is a needed upgrade because Roberson said the clinical provider often uses her chin to readjust it while conducting an exam.

Rock Springs, Wyoming – The Concerts in the Park series continues this week with the musical stylings of NightFire! NightFire is, as the kids say, Straight Outta Lander. Band member Chris Flom provides vocals as well as rhythm and lead guitar. Raine Lesher also sings and plays mandolin, flute, and guitar. Uh-Oh: Rock Springs Gas Station Mixes Up Diesel And Gasoline
At least 17 vehicles have been contaminated after a fuel station in Rock Springs, Wyoming, mistakenly switched its supplies of unleaded and diesel fuel, locals have confirmed. The Kum & Go on Foothill Boulevard, which is now owned by Maverik, was running diesel through its premium unleaded pump and unleaded through its diesel pump last Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a repair shop employee who tried to help remedy the damages after the mix-up.

Air quality alert issued for Natrona County due to wildfire smoke
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Much of eastern Wyoming is now under an air quality alert until 1 p.m. Wednesday. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne stated that Casper and other parts of the state are currently experiencing poor air quality conditions due to wildfire smoke originating from Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
