The Boathouse, a well-known venue owned by Tim Harmon and Matt Harmon under the name Two Dawgs for over 20 years, was once a popular destination in the borough. However, in recent years, the business has faced a steady decline. The Harmons failed to meet their financial obligations and pay for accumulating debt in a timely manner. The bacteria is used as an indicator species to signify the likelihood that other illness-causing microbes, viruses or parasites are present in water.
