West Long Branch firefighter forged firefighter training certificates, prosecutor says
FREEHOLD - Authorities have accused a West Long Branch firefighter of falsifying and destroying official records involving training certificates for a firefighter. Ronald Guidetti, 61, of Long Branch is charged with false uttering, forgery and falsifying or tampering with records, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said in a statement Tuesday.

KEANSBURG - A man who was shot by a police officer in the borough on Memorial Day while coming at officers with a running chainsaw has been identified, authorities said. Willem Roman, 46, of Keansburg, died June 14 from the injuries he suffered during the encounter, the New Jersey Attorney General's office said Monday in a statement.
