The AC/GC Chargers softball team was in action Monday, and split their games against the Des Moines Christian Lions. The team took the first game 13-6, with an early lead. The Lions picked up two runs, while the Chargers tacked on eight in the first inning. AC/GC then put up another run in the second inning to go up 9-2, and both teams were scoreless in the next two innings. The Chargers picked up three more runs in the fifth, and allowed one, then tallied their final run in the sixth inning while allowing two runs for the Lions. Des Moines Christian recorded their final run in the seventh inning.

DES MOINES, IOWA – The Omaha Storm Chasers dropped a back-and-forth game to the Iowa Cubs 5-4 Thursday, Independence Day at Principal Park. As the series shifted over to Des Moines for another three-game set, the I-Cubs scored first for the fourth straight night.
