    Campers at Cherry Glen continue the Independence Day celebrations

    POLK CITY, Iowa — The Fourth of July may be over, but the party is continuing for many people across Central Iowa.

    Trailers are packed in the Cherry Glen Campgrounds in Polk City, where campers will be continuing the celebration this weekend.

    Outside of the campgrounds, there will be fireworks displays across Central Iowa.

    Friday night at Principal Park, there will be fireworks following the Iowa Cubs game against the Omaha Storm Chasers. The game starts just after 7 PM.

    On Saturday, there will be fireworks at the Iowa State Fairgrounds during the Good Guys Heartland National. Tickets are free for children under 6 years, $10 for people between 7 and 12 years, and $25 for people over 12.

    Also on Saturday, the Winterset Cidery is hosting a pop-up event from 1 PM to 10 PM. They’re ending the night with a fireworks display. Tickets are $25 per vehicle.
