Aragon BBQ returns in September for loaded weekend of fun

A softball tournament, food, live music and fireworks are all in store for the annual celebration of the mill village and surrounding area that local residents call home, but everyone else knows as the City of Aragon.

The annual BBQ returns to Pittman Park starting on Friday evening, September 20 and continues all day on Saturday, September 21 as the city celebrates the year with friendly competition between adult softball teams to open up the event.

Saturday will see the softball tournament continue starting in the morning, with vendors available on site Saturday, live music and then capping the event off with fireworks at night (expect them after dark sometime around 9 p.m.) The city secured the contract for fireworks in late spring to ensure they would be on the schedule.

This marks the 49th Aragon BBQ as it returns for 2024.
