County celebrates 911 operator as Employee of the Month for August

Going above and beyond expectations is the reason why one 911 operator was selected for the August 2024 Employee of the Month for Polk County.

The County Commission celebrated Cody Hughes from E-911 for his hard work for the department, and in appreciation of ensuring that times when operators are needed he is available to work.

E-911 added their thanks on social media on Wednesday following the meeting for all that he does.

“Thank you for ALL your hard work and dedication to our county and department!” The post said.

Hughes also received a gift card along with a certificate for the Employee of the Month honor.
