ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - On July 25, people gathered outside the Alexandria Museum of Art to reveal a new permanent sculpture in downtown Alexandria. The sculpture, “Hurricane Strong,” was made by Ky Beaux, an emerging artist from Opelousas. This project was initially created as part of a “National Endowment for the Arts” initiative in 2023.
