The Dodge brand of Stellantis in Auburn Hills has announced the ninth annual MotorTrend Presents RoadKill Nights Powered by Dodge will return to Woodward Avenue and M1 Concourse in Pontiac after one year on the streets of downtown Pontiac.

Roadkill Nights, which will take place Aug. 10, is a horsepower festival that brings automotive enthusiasts together to watch some of America’s quickest street-legal cars in-person.

This year’s event also will see the return of the heated battle between online automotive builders in the Direct Connection Grudge Match. Attendees can expect a classic and modern muscle car show, Dodge thrill rides, and some surprises in store this year, according to the organizers.

“We are pleased to have the Roadkill Nights event return to M1 Concourse,” says Tim McGrane, CEO of M1 Concourse. “The event is enjoyed by participants and fans from across the county but also a favorite event of the many car enthusiasts from the city of Pontiac and around Oakland County.

“We’ve been working closely with the city, MDOT, and the businesses and organizations along Woodward Avenue to help MotorTrend and Dodge bring the event back to M1 Concourse and keep it in the city of Pontiac. It brings a lot of awareness to our community and shows the vibrant car culture of metro Detroit, kicking off our Woodward Dream Show and Festival week.”

First run in 2015, the inaugural Roadkill Nights event took place at the former Pontiac Silverdome before moving in 2016 to the new M1 Concourse facility on Woodward Avenue. From 2016 through 2022, with the exception of a one-year hiatus in 2020, the event was run at M1 Concourse. Due to road construction on Woodward Avenue, the event moved to downtown Pontiac for 2023.

The 2024 edition of RoadKill Kights event will feature more than 120 racers from around the country who will compete for cash prizes and bragging rights.
