BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland added 5,600 total jobs in June, including 3,900 in the private sector, according to monthly data released by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. The growth rate last month (0.2 percent) was double the national rate (0.1 percent).
Community Rallies Around Family After Tragic Housefire
Last Friday, around 55 firefighters responded to a house fire in the 11400 block of Neelsville Church Road in Germantown. An 80-year-old man was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, and a family of six has been displaced. JMU grads filling key roles in teaching, nursing throughout Virginia
James Madison University graduates are helping Virginia meet the need when it comes to careers that are significantly understaffed including teachers and nurses.
