1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton is facing drug and child endangerment charges after being arrested at a Tennessee safari park over Labor Day weekend. The Crockett County Sheriff's Department announced Monday that Slaton and a man identified as Brian Scott Lovvorn were taken into police custody after officers responded to a call about a guest being bit by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo.

"Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest's vehicle," the department said in a Facebook post .

Slaton, 36, and Lovvorn, who was also in the vehicle, were arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment and booked into the Crockett County Jail. The sheriff's department did not share further details, including the extent of injuries suffered by those bitten, the identity of the child involved in the case, or the what type of drugs were allegedly used.

"The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence," the sheriff's department said. "The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law."

Action News 5 reported that in addition to Slaton and Lovvorn, two children were in the vehicle. It's unclear if the children were Slaton's sons - Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2 - whom she shares with her ex-husband Michael Halterman. The TLC star and Halterman eloped in 2017 and celebrated their marriage with a ceremony in 2019. Both featured in the TLC series 1000-Lb Sisters , the series on which she rose to fame alongside her sister, Tammy Slaton. The show premiered in 2020 and has documented the sisters' weight loss journeys as well as their personal lives, including Slaton's relationship with Halterman and their vow renewal ceremony.

In March 2023, just a year after welcoming their second child together, Halterman filed for divorce from Slaton after four years of marriage. In the March 13 filing, he listed their date of separation as Feb. 24, 2023.

Opening up about their marriage with PEOPLE in December 2023, Slaton said "there was no support. There was no love. There was no kindness. There was just mental abuse." She said that she "got tired of hiding it from people."

Slaton and Halterman's divorce was finalized in September 2023 , with the former couple agreeing to split custody of their children.
